That's because the Spring-Ford C.C. twosome finished second Thursday in the 59th renewal of the family mixed format event held at Huntingdon Valley Country Club. The Brennans combined for a 72, four shots off the mark set by Wilmington C.C.'s Gail and Chris Anderson, who posted a blistering 4-under 68 to win the Class A (18 and Over). I hate NBC and hope things are different this year(1) Way TOO many up-close and personal stories of athletes. The stories last longer than the competition footage in fact!(2) Far too much coverage of the "chick sports" like gymnastics and not nearly enough coverage of sports involving grown-ups(3) Too many studio interviews!(4) Too much Bob Costas and I even like Bob Costas!(5) I would rather have a long commercial break than numerous short breaks!(6) No coverage of baseball.
